Purification:
Affinity-chromatography
Specificity:
Phospho-Akt (Ser473) Antibody detects endogenous levels of Akt only when phosphorylated at Serine 473
Immunogen:
A synthesized peptide derived from human Akt around the phosphorylation site of Serine 473
Description:
The serine-threonine protein kinase encoded by the AKT1 gene is catalytically inactive in serum-starved primary and immortalized fibroblasts. AKT1 and the related AKT2 are activated by platelet-derived growth factor. The activation is rapid and specific, and it is abrogated by mutations in the pleckstrin homology domain of AKT1.
Storage Condition and Buffer:
Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline , pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Store at +4°C short term. Store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.
